Abstract

Through this scientific production, it is sought to investigate whether the public policy of access to justice of the Judicial Branch of the State of Rondônia for the riverside inhabitants of the region of the lower Madeira River constitutes a mechanism that prestige realization of citizenship. From the theoretical reference of T. H. Marshall was produced research to analyze if the  activities of the Judiciary Power have fulfilled requirements that can be extracted from the writings of the mentioned author. The work takes into account the formation of these traditional communities, their customs, traditions, culture, economy and geography to serve as a subsidy in understanding the needs presented by this population group, since, from the point of view of citizenship, it is necessary to understand a series of aspects ranging from the posture of individuals in the search for rights to the development of institutions in the places where they live. The work carried out by the Judiciary and other institutions is analyzed in order to reflect on the correspondence that the judicial activity has caused in the other institutions for the realization of citizenship rights, their order of development and factors that promoted each implementation in the public policies within of the observed period, which runs from 2010 to 2018. Inevitably, the writings stimulate a questioning about the importance of reflection on what needs to be worked out by the State in the construction of its public policies to make effective the rights of citizenship of the riverside populations of the low river Madeira, which will have repercussions not only on the jurisdictional function but also on other institutions such as those responsible for education and social assistance.
