The use of artificial intelligence in support of the activities of the judiciary in rondônia and its impact on public safety in the amazon

With the main focus on Public Security in the Amazon, the objective of this article analyzes the impact and perspectives of the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Judiciary, with a special focus on the Court of Justice of Rondônia (TJRO). Its objective is to present an overview of the use of AI in Brazil, highlighting some of the main tools already used and how they have contributed to greater efficiency and transparency in judicial processes. The text also addresses the benefits of AI while recognizing cultural, ethical and technical challenges. Aspects such as the cost-benefit of investing in AI, data protection, algorithmic transparency and the regulatory role of the CNJ and the OAB are also discussed. Rondônia's experience is presented as a model of innovation that can be replicated in other states in the Amazon and in Brazil and, as a conclusion, the impacts on Public Security in the Amazon are presented.
