Periodicidade
The Revista da Emeron (Emeron Journal) will, starting in 2026, adopt the continuous publication model, with permanent receiving and publishing of manuscripts throughout the year.
Current Situation
Currently, the Journal receives articles on a rolling basis throughout the year but publishes them in two semi-annual issues. This means that an approved text waits for the issue to be composed before being made available to the reading public. This model, although consolidated in Brazilian legal periodicals, ultimately lengthens the time between the approval and the effective publication of the works.
New Periodicity Starting in 2026
Starting in 2026, the Journal will adopt the continuous publication (rolling basis) model, maintaining the uninterrupted receipt of manuscripts and publishing articles individually, as soon as they are approved and edited, within a single annual volume. Under this system, there will no longer be two semi-annual issues; the texts will be progressively incorporated into the year's volume, with an average expected publication time of up to approximately three months after final approval.
Justification and Benefits
The purpose of continuous publication is to reduce the time for communicating research, increasing the speed with which scientific results are made available for reading, citation, and use by the academic and professional community. This format is considered more attractive for authors precisely because it shortens the interval between submission, evaluation, approval, and publication, aligning the Journal with the recommended good editorial practices for contemporary scientific periodicals.
