Security measures in the processing of personal data
We employ technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access and situations that could lead to the destruction, loss or alteration of such data.
The measures we use take into account the nature of the data, the context and purpose of the processing, the risks that a possible breach would pose to the rights and freedoms of the user, and the standards currently used in the market by companies such as ours.
Among the security measures we have adopted, we highlight the following:
- Password storage using cryptographic hashes;
- Database access restrictions;
- Monitoring physical access to servers.
Even though we do everything in our power to prevent security incidents, it is possible that there may be problems caused exclusively by third parties, such as hacker or cracker attacks, or even cases of exclusive user fault, which occurs, for example, when users themselves transfer their data to third parties. Thus, although we are generally responsible for the personal data we process, we are exempt from liability in the event of an exceptional situation such as this, over which we have no control.
In any case, in the event of any type of security incident that could generate significant risk or damage to any of our users, we will notify those affected and the National Data Protection Authority of the incident, in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act.
Complaint to a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, personal data subjects who feel they have been harmed in any way may lodge a complaint with the National Data Protection Authority.
