History:
The Emeron Journal was established in 1996 and published annually until 2012. After a brief hiatus, publication resumed in 2018, still as an annual journal. We were delighted to launch issue no. 25 the following year, which has since been published twice a year. That issue, remarkable in itself, also celebrates two major milestones in the history of the Rondônia justice system:
The first recalls the trajectory of those who passed the 1st Public Competition for Entry into the Initial Position of Judge of the Court. The second highlights the spotlight given to scientific knowledge since the implementation of the Centre for Research and Academic Publication of the School of Magistrates of the State of Rondônia, consolidating its status as an Institution of Higher Education, achieved in 2011 through Decree No. 16,355 of 25 November 2011.
Given the importance of this Journal as a channel of knowledge, its return builds a link between the path traced up to that moment and the one that is being drawn for the future. This publication has always been a space for praising the efforts of magistrates, civil servants, researchers, and collaborators who are dedicated to constantly updating their knowledge and, in this trajectory, it has also become a forum for the dissemination of a broad institutional research project of an academic nature and professional orientation for those who seek to improve the administration of justice and public management.
With a policy of open access to the full text of its content upon registration in the journal's electronic system (Open Journal Systems — OJS), peer-reviewed (double blind review), and available online free of charge, Emeron Journal is registered with ISSN 1983-7283 (print version from 1996 to 2012 and 2018 to 2020) and Electronic ISSN 2764-9679, with the electronic version taking over from 2021 onwards.
