Integridade e Prevenção de Plágio

As part of its efforts to promote academic integrity and prevent plagiarism, Emeron Magazine adopted, as of October 2025, a text similarity identification service using Crossref's iThenticate Similarity Check.

Similarity Check is a service provided by Crossref and developed by iThenticate. It helps publishers identify possible plagiarism by comparing submitted content with a database of published works. Reports highlight matches and show how much and where a submission overlaps with existing material.

Preventing negligence is a crucial responsibility of the editor and editorial team: any form of unethical behavior, as well as plagiarism in any instance, is not accepted by the Emeron Journal. Authors who submit articles declare that their content is original and guarantee that the work has not been published and is not in the process of simultaneous review/evaluation by any other scientific journal.

Each submission is automatically scanned by Similarity software. We accept a maximum of 30% similarity after visual analysis of each item identified by the report. In the case of a preprint submission, or previous publication on the author's academic social network, any similarity index is accepted. If not, a new analysis is performed by applying filters to exclude bibliography and equivalent citations with up to 10 similar words. A new index is indicated by Similarity, and a new analysis is performed before the article proceeds to the editorial review process, starting with the editor-in-chief. In the event of 30% or more similarity, the authors are notified and reformulate the submission, if requested, upon analysis by the desk review. After the author corrects the similarity, if applicable, the article proceeds to the editorial flow. If the author does not return their reformulated submission within 30 days, it is rejected.
