Racial and class inequality in Brazilian education is a persistent problem that significantly impacts Black children in public schools. This study seeks to understand the challenges faced by these children and the forms of resilience they develop within the school environment. Racial discrimination and socioeconomic barriers are factors that contribute to the reproduction of educational inequalities, perpetuating cycles of exclusion and marginalization. The analysis explores how factors related to racial discrimination, stigmatization, and unequal access to educational resources can affect the emotional, cognitive, and social development of these young people. The research also investigates how the school environment can both contribute to the perpetuation of these inequalities and serve as a space for resistance and support. By reflecting on the implications of racial inequality for mental health and academic performance, the article aims to highlight the importance of inclusive pedagogical practices and the strengthening of emotional support for Black children and adolescents, promoting a fairer and more equitable educational approach.
